A year seems like yesterday which makes me question what time even means. I reflect on a number of things on this day, from the recent past twelve months to the numerous good times we shared together. In the moments of your suffering, I witnessed the pain you were in but I also noticed something extraordinary. In your suffering there was also strength, kindness, a romantic, and a calmness that was nothing short of admirable. The strength to crack your usual jokes, the kindness to keep your pain to yourself in the event to protect others, and the romance thinking about your beloved wife’s birthday in your final days truly measures the type of man you were. The selfless gentleman who had a picture of each of his grandchildren by his bedside unit moved me in a way of admiration and total respect. Today marks a anniversary of one year in whatever we call time, but you will remain a lifetime in the hearts of those you touched so dearly. Every Thursday at 3pm you’d have the music ready for me on your computer, well today and always my dear grandad you will never walk alone. Keep jiving, keep singing, love Jazz xxxxx
